Movies & Musicals – Concert by Churchdown Male Voice Choir
Join us for an unforgettable evening at Churchdown Community Centre on Saturday 10 October 2026, with doors opening at 6:30pm and the concert beginning at 7:00pm (BST). Experience the rich harmonies and powerful voices of the Churchdown Male Voice Choir as they perform a spectacular programme packed with iconic songs from beloved movies and West End musicals. The evening will be interspersed with light‑hearted humour, keeping the night fun, relaxed, and full of personality. With the bar open throughout, it’s the perfect chance to enjoy great music, a good laugh, and a warm community atmosphere. Don’t miss this magical night of live performance in a welcoming venue. |

Experience a heart-warming evening of music
Longfield Community Hospice are excited to welcome you to our Winter Concert, an evening of heart-warming music in partnership with Churchdown Male Voice Choir. With a genuine passion for singing and performance, the CMVC choir will be offering a rich and varied repertoire, from traditional male voice favourites to contemporary arrangements and much-loved classics. At its heart, Churchdown Male Voice Choir is much more than a singing group. It is a close-knit community united by harmony, friendship, and a shared love of music, and has long been a valued part of Gloucestershire’s cultural life, bringing people together through music, community spirit, and a shared commitment to supporting good causes. Blending proud tradition with modern expression, the choir uses music as a force for good; values that strongly reflect the spirit of Longfield Community Hospice, offering a natural and meaningful partnership for this special evening of music. Raffle and refreshments will also be available on the evening and everyone is warmly invited to join the choir after the Winter Concert performance at The Crown for an afterglow sing along and the chance to continue the celebrations together. |

Longfield Community Hospice provide free-of-charge Hospice at Home, Counselling, Bereavement Support, and Living Well Services to individuals across Gloucestershire facing a life-limiting diagnosis. We could not provide this support when it matters most without the support from the community, as 85% of our funding is from fundraising activities and donations. |

Churchdown Male Voice Choir are delighted to host three festive Christmas concerts on Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th December 2026. On Monday evening, we’ll be joined by our special guest choir, Coopers Edge Primary School, bringing extra festive sparkle to the night. Join us for seasonal music, warmth and Christmas cheer as we celebrate the magic of Christmas together. Bring family and friends — everyone is welcome, and we’d love to see you there!

Be greeted by live reindeer on arrival, adding a touch of Christmas enchantment from the very first moment. Settle in for an uplifting programme featuring performances from the Churchdown Male Vocal Choir, beautiful live musical interludes, and a selection of heart warming Christmas readings that capture the joy and meaning of the season. The evening will be warmly hosted by BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Nicky Price, bringing charm, humour, and a wonderful festive atmosphere. Guests will also have the chance to take part in our charity raffle, with fantastic prizes to be won — all in support of Cobalt’s vital work. A perfect way to celebrate Christmas with friends and family, while helping make a meaningful difference to people in our community. |
